A commitment, not an upfront charge
If the table requires €400, the guest commits to spend at least €400.

Workflow
From configuration to daily service.
- 01

- 02
Explain it before payment
Show the amount and how it applies before the guest confirms.
- 03
Track the commitment
Keep payment and booking status together for arrival and final-bill reconciliation.
Important limitation
Software supports the process; it does not remove operational responsibility.
UpSalt records the booking commitment; the venue still needs a clear operational process for applying the amount to the final bill and handling exceptions.01Can minimum spend vary by zone or date?
Yes. Rules can be configured around specific inventory, services and high-demand periods.
02Is a minimum spend the same as a deposit?
No. A deposit secures the booking; a minimum spend is a commercial commitment for the visit. The payment and refund treatment should be explained clearly.
Evidence before promises
